The Eagle of the Ninth

If you get YAC's Young Archaeologistmagazine, you'll know there's a movie released this month called 'The Eagle', based on the story of a search for the Eagle standard of the Ninth Legion, which was lost when they were supposedly wiped out somewhere North of York. The book is also being rereleased, and you can read a chapter of it here.

'The Eagle' is a story, because no-one really knows what happened to the Ninth Legion. But Archaeological research indicates the story might be nearer the truth than was first believed!
