The 100th Object, and selling a Roman Cavalry Parade Helmet

If you've been following the BBC series "A History of the World in 100 Objects", you might have heard that today they unveiled the 100th object! Is it what you might have chosen?

=====o0o0o=====

Recently, a very rare type of Roman Helmet, which was found by a metal detectorist in Cumbria, was sold at auction for over £2 Million! Because it is made of bronze, and not gold or silver, it isn't protected by the Treasure Act, and it was sold at auction to a private collector, despite the local museum raising over £1.5 Million to keep it near to where it was found.

  1. Speaking of rare roman finds, did you hear about the extremely rare Roman armour found at Caerleon this year?
